I'm Moving to Europe (Temporarily!) — and Taking You With Me

I’ve been dreaming about this for years—and it’s finally happening. This fall, I’ll be spending an extended stretch of time in Europe, slow-traveling through Spain, Italy, and France.
This isn’t a quick vacation or a fast-paced tour. It’s a temporary move designed to let me live the same kind of intentional, meaningful travel I help my clients plan. I’ll be working remotely as a travel advisor and exploring cities and towns that fuel my creativity and expertise. My goal? To build an even more personal, immersive foundation for the trips I design for others.
But here’s the exciting part: I’m not just sharing the trip itself—I’m sharing the entire journey. Over the next few months, I’ll be using my platform to pull back the curtain and show you how I’m preparing for a long-term trip abroad, what I pack (carry-on only!), how I find affordable flights and accommodations, my favorite booking tools and travel hacks, and how I plan to live and work across three different countries.
Whether you’re curious about doing something similar or just want inspiration for your next vacation, this space is for you.
Why Now?
There’s no perfect time to take a leap—but this feels right. I’ve been growing my travel advising business over the past year, and this trip is both a personal dream and a professional investment. I want to be on the ground, connecting with local guides, exploring new destinations, and collecting the kind of insight you can’t get from Google.
What’s Next?
I'll be sharing a lot more in the coming weeks—including what I’m packing, how I built my itinerary, and what it’s really like to prep for an extended solo trip.
If you’re not already following along, you can find me on Instagram @ryangarciatravel for daily updates, travel tips, and real-time moments from the road. And if you’re dreaming of your own European escape, I’d love to help you plan it—reach out any time!
Thanks for being here—can’t wait to take you with me.
